• 2 boxes vanilla instant pudding
• 3 cups cold milk
• 2 bananas
• about half a box of vanilla wafers
• 1 carton Cool Whip

It’s really easy- make the pudding mix, add half the Cool Whip, then layer the mix with vanilla wafers and bananas. Decorate the top with remaining Cool Whip and a few half vanilla wafers around the edge.

Simple tasty no-cook pudding- good for today because my power went out mid-cooking….

I don’t know the secret recipe, there’s definitely rum, and cocoa, and nuts and sugar….and they taste best to wait for 5 days before consuming apparently ( if you can! )

The flies, psychodidae, also called moth flies because of their appearance under magnification- minute moths- live and breed in sinks and drains where homes have been uninhabited

The pest control information I read said it takes an enzyme compound to destroy the larvae in the drain- so the flies don’t keep hatching and reappearing.

I tried biological laundry soap liquid in all my sinks and the problem has gone, no more flies!

It showed up because I am painting a bald eagle in oils for a friend…perfect synchronicity!

Recently someone said to me ‘the Bradford Pear is a tree that gives all year long!’ Right now it’s covered in blossom….

Now I’m waiting for the leaves to grow to see if it flowers again; if not I can put it in the fridge for 6 weeks then replant it. It’s very easy to care for, just rotate when it grows towards the light, and lightly water.

Comet is an only cat now- something she relishes, she’s still very playful.

She has never been an outdoor cat, rarely asks to go out and is shy of most people, but she is still very attached to me and she’s the only cat I ever had who always comes when called!

I don’t know what this strange plant is called, it’s growing in Cypress Texas but it looks very tropical even for here, there are spiky leaves at the base:

She’s still very  cute- and about half of her is tail!

It’s the right thing to do though, sterilise pets, there are so many unwanted healthy animals euthanised, 80 000 in Houston in 2007.

Spay and neuter programs will considerably reduce the numbers, hopefully to almost zero eventually; some of the programs catch, sterilise and release feral cats too.

Comet is booked in at the vet’s to be spayed this week. I expect she’ll be a little cross with me for a day or two!

She’s at it again!!

Furnando and Comet look quite alike- he’s much heavier though!

Although she still feels light-weight compared to Furnando, she’s grown a lot in the past few days.

She still looks like a kitten though!

She likes to play, like with this flashlight beam; after a while she was more interested in trying to get at the flashlight than chasing the light around.

 Her favourite game is to jump for the toilet paper and run away with it; here she licks her tongue at me in defiance it seems when I say ‘no’!

And she still loves to show off at every opportunity!
